Full Devlog (up to v.1.0)


26/11/2023 - Ideation: 

- Brainstorm ideas for characters 
- Tried creating sprites for 1 character (Momoi/Sakura). 
- At this point, I was referencing the "NIKKE" art style for the girl, but it looks too... detailed. Which doesn't fit the cute and fluffy atmosphere I have in mind.

27/11/2023 - Create more sprites, and find a new art style for reference.

- I tried a lot of art styles here, ranging from cute ones like in Blue Archive, detailed, cartoonish, to those with specialized ears like in Arknights. 
- I decide to mix interesting ones and end up with a decent amalgamation. 
- I finished around 100 base sprites in total for Momoi/Sakura, Midori/Sakuya, and Yuuka/Yukari. 
- The entire process looks like pulling gachas until one SSR pops up.

28/11/2023 - Assets preparation and implementing everything in-game (v.0.2.0)

- Finished base sprites for Yuzu/Tama, Noa/Hakua, Aris/Chiaki. 

29/11/2023 - Fix assets. Implement in-game.

- Fixed base sprites hands & noticeable errors, upscaled, resized, edited. 
- Replaced sprites from the previous game with the new sprites. 
- Implemented in-game, and debugged. 
- Created background assets.

30/11/2023 - Editing.

- Implemented all backgrounds. 
- Edited story. 
- Fixed sprites again

01/12/2023 - Love is War (Remake) v.1.0 - Playable build released

- Updated credits 
- Created game icon, title screen, screenshots, and gifs. 
- Playtested 
- Playable build released. 
- Setting up everything to be consistent for all game stores. 
- Writing this changelog. 
- Uploading all materials to relevant game stores.
